Animal Crossing – Nintendo – Gamecube
Animal Crossing is possibly the strangest game I have ever played. For those that don’t know, it is about starting a new life in a town where all your neighbours are animals. Although it may sound like another gaming flop, it is actually brilliant!

The reasons why it is brilliant are simple. Firstly, something is always happening! Unlike most games where you eventually complete or get bored of the missions and levels, that ISNT POSSIBLE! Also, the whole game is still playing, even if your not! This means that if you don’t play regularly, your town will become a dump; infested with weeds and the like. This means that Animal Crossing is very addictive. Nintendo really did make an amazing game.
If you have a Gameboy as well as a Gamcube, you can link up your Animal Crossing game to it and go visit a tropical Island! This just adds more fun to the game, although with so many different things to do, like fishing, bug catching, paying off your mortgage, talking to your animal friends, collecting fruit, decorating your home and just doing things for your fun!

Nintendo released a remake of this game for the DS (named Animal Crossing Wild World). It was pretty much the same, exept with a few tweaks. If you have played one, you’ve played the other. The minute differences include K.K plays in a bar in the Ds version, whilst he’s outside the train station on the original. Also, you have less space in your pockets and cupboards in the original. This is (for me) the biggest downfall of the game.
After comparing the DS version and this one, I do have to say that this version is the better one, despite lacking some major points.

Peanutmaster Update
If you are looking for Peanutmaster’s large guides which were at the top of the page and have mysteriously disapeared, do not worry. More guides are on their way. I hope you are not stuck on anything that my guides could have provided an answer to! Watch this space!

How To Survive Team Based First Person Shooters
The Peanutmaster team has been busy. And now we proudly present our top tips on how to survive team based shooter games!
NUMBER 1:
Never be a hero…
yes its all well and good charging about and killing anything… IF you’re on easy mode. However, if you’re playing on a harder setting then you should realise that team based shooters are mean’t to be about team based shooting! You’ll die lots of times if you dont stay with your buddies – who are there to help! This leads us to my second tip….
NUMBER 2:
Let your men do the work!!!!
Low on health? Low on ammo? Then stay in cover and let your men fight – this helps you get your health up and you wont waste any ammo, however…..
NUMBER 3:
Dont let your men do ALL the work….
Yes -it contradicts the tip above but remember – on some games your pals may die and need to get health and possibly ammo as well, so when your hiding behind cover always keep an eye on your pals-and be ready to step back into combat if their taking a beating and Remember: TOP UP THEIR HEALTH!!!
NUMBER 4:
Give orders to your men when you can!
This helps you because you know what their doing and where they’re doing it – you can also get them to cover your back or to put the pressure on your opponents so you can flank. BUT DO THIS…..
NUMBER 5:
NEVER CHARGE YOUR ENEMY WITH ONLY A FEW MEN!!!!! EVER!!!! EVER!!!
Picture this: you tell your men to charge right into an enemy position, without realising that it’s actually well defended. And hard to kill any enemies there…. Or telling them to charge head first into a machine gun nest. The obvious result of this stupid but common mistake is that your men die or are badly wounded, and you can’t reach them because the bad guys will have taken the chance to get through your barriers and your men will be right inside the enemy territory under heavy fire. You will have lost the entire fight because you didn’t have patience and thought you could attack with only a few men!!
NUMBER 6:
YOUR SCREWED IF YOU MATES DIE
This is obvious really, but it needs to be pointed out. If your mates die it’s a lot harder to kill anyone because you cant flank or haven’t got any fire power to even the scores. Plus, no-one covers you. Simple.

Advance Wars: Days Of Ruin: Mission 21: Lin’s Gambit Guide
Mission 21: Lin’s Gambit
This is Guide is dedicated to ‘Desperate’:
This is a combined naval/army map. You won’t have any airports, so you won’t be able to build any planes, although building seaplanes on your carrier will eventually become necessary. You have 40 days to win the map, although you should be able to pull it off by day 30 if you work hard; achieving a 100 point speed rating seems to require a victory by day 25 or so, but you can still S-rank it later on if you dominate militarily.
Luckily, it’s not too difficult to eliminate the enemy navy early on, lock down their ports, and concentrate on your ground forces. You’ll need to stall the enemy army on the eastern side of the map until you’ve built your navy up enough to help support your ground invasion, however. When you have the forces required, you can sweep across the eastern bridges to the north, then charge to the northwestern corner of the map and destroy the enemy units there or capture the HQ.
Day One
Move your subs to the center of the map and dive them; they’ll be integral to your plans to shut down Greyfield’s navy. Your southwestern infantry unit should be loaded onto the rig nearby and shuttled up and around to the factory and dock there; you can also load another nearby infantry onto a gunboat and shuttle him up near the dock. The infantry won’t be good for much on this map except for capturing buildings, so get it done early. On the eastern side, you can load a mech unit onto the lander there and drop it off on the small island nearby. Focus on capturing docks first, but keep in mind that enemy infantry will be coming for the island in a few turns.
Shuffle the rest of your units around, consolidating your navy below the submarines, and get ready for a fight. Move the w-tank up to the rocket units on the eastern edge of the map, and get the rockets ready to fire by placing the rig near them.
Day Two
Continue or start to capture the properties that you’ve managed to make it near. Move the submarines north into the channel between the peninsula and the island; they’ll begin to register enemy units on the next turn. Use your rockets to the east to fire on any enemy units that have shown up on the bridges; don’t forget to flare to light the way. Again, you don’t want to be moving north at this point; simply stopping the enemy from approaching your position. Be sure that the rockets aren’t exposed to fire, though; you can block the bridges with your w-tank or even a cruiser or lander to prevent enemy tanks from reaching the rockets.
Day Three
The enemy’s behavior with their navy can vary here; what you want is to see a few of their battleships appear in the sight range of your submarines. The enemy has four battleships and two carriers here; with a little work, you can destroy them with your subs, but you’ll need to be careful of enemy cruisers, of which there aren’t many, luckily. At any rate, on this turn, try to hit two of the battleships with your subs, and finish one of them off with your own battleship if possible; an enemy seaplane may get close enough to spot your battleship on their turn and hit it pretty hard, though. On the eastern front, rocket anyone that comes towards your troops. Again, you can block the roads with a cruiser, a lander, a gunship; anything that floats will sit on the bridge and prevent the enemy units from coming down. A cruiser will work well here, as it has a pretty long range of vision.
Day Four
Continue to pound the enemy naval forces here, and try to take out one of their carriers if possible. Seaplanes will start to harrass your western properties, but you should have already captured both of them by now, hopefully, assuming you landed two infantry units with the rig and the gunship. On the central island, enemy infantry will begin appearing and start capturing the two other facilities here; you’ll need to pound them with a battleship or something to prevent that from happening. You can also build an anti-air unit in the east and land it on the island to take out the infantry. You’ll probably want to build another battleship now if you haven’t done so already.
Moving On
The key thing here is keeping both of your subs alive long enough for them to put a dent in the enemy battleships and carriers, hopefully destroying the lot of them without being destroyed themselves. This requires a balance of aggression and skill, as you’ll need to be aware of the enemy’s line of sight. Enemy seaplanes will reveal large swaths of land to them, and if they manage to spot one of your infantry units capturing a property, or one of your battleships, the remaining battleships won’t hesitate to pound it. It requires a bit of luck to keep both of your submarines alive; if you’re unsure of yourself, simply use them to blockade the passageway leading to the enemy ports and hold them back until you’ve built another battleship. The battleships are going to be helpful to defend the central island from landers and infantry, and also to destroy any enemy cruisers that happen to pop up.
The first five days of this map are the key: you can either get really lucky, or wind up getting royally screwed, especially by the enemy navy. If you’re not having much luck with the navy, you may want to try giving the enemy battleships an extra turn to come out of the bay before pounding them with subs, or building an extra submarine before building your first battleship. If it comes down to it, you can mask the presence of your subs by sending gunships or landers towards the enemy fleet; the enemy ships will move to hit them and hopefully bypass the sunken submarines. You should always work with the goal to have your submarines out of sight of enemy units at the end of one of your turns, in the hopes that they’ll be ignored on the next turn.
Either way, the navy has to be your priority; your rocket units can hold the enemy back on the eastern edge of the map more or less indefinitely. In order to conquer the enemy docks, you’ll want to have at least two subs and a couple of battleships, with some cruisers being helpful to guard your battleships from enemy subs. Having a rig on the peninsula build a temporary port will also be required to refuel your ships; park the rig next to the dock to allow it to refuel ships further out in the water. If you get very lucky and manage to push the enemy back to their docks and destroy their ships, you’ll find that the enemy docks are unfortunately not blockable; you can’t move your units on top of them to prevent further construction. That’s all right, though. If you were able to block them, your units would come under fire from rockets in the hills. Just keep your submarines in the bay, near the docks, rotating them out every once in a while to refuel them. Two submarines, a battleship, and a cruiser or two should be enough to prevent any enemy ships that are built from leaving the bay.
The Ground War
When you have the enemy docks locked down, you’ll need to move on to the eastern front, where you have to charge north across the bridges and circle around to the enemy HQ. The darkness here will work against you; the enemy will have rockets in the hills that will be difficult to spot from long range.
Your best before proceeding north is to build a carrier and some seaplanes; the seaplanes will have long viewing distances and will be able to hit some of the enemy units before your mass of w-tanks starts rolling along. Cruisers in the water will also provide some good viewing distances, allowing you to make a few battleships and have them sit in the water and pound the enemy forces from below. Be sure that Lin is on one of these battleships! It’s a cheap way to boost her CO gauge.
Anyway, you’ll take your licks from the rockets, but your planes should be able to discover them and take them out, allowing your w-tanks to roll on. Move around to the west, being sure to capture the enemy factory on the northern edge of the map, and then continue to the northwestern corner to defeat the remaining enemy forces.
here is a video of exactly how to complete this mission:

LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures – Traveller’s Tales – Xbox 360, PSP, PS2, DS, WII, PS3

You’ve got to hand it to Traveller’s Tales, they’ve really struck gold with their family-friendly LEGO-related titles. Having already secured a strong partnership with LucasArts and Eidos with the two LEGO Star Wars titles, the studio is now turning its attention to another Lucas property: the adventure-loving archaeologist, Indiana Jones. Timed to near-perfection with the release of the fourth Indy movie, LEGO Indiana Jones takes a trip down memory lane, travelling back to the original three stories. But with another LEGO-based romp later in the year in Warner Bros. Interactive’s LEGO Batman, is this a brick-building adventure too far?
LEGO Star Wars was amazing; it offered a new type of platformer to the gamer. LEGO Indiana Jones would be rubbish if it didn’t have some of the winning properties from that game.
Just like in LEGO Star Wars, there is a main hub from which you can access each of the chapters (here, it is Barnett College). The college also hosts other features, like a library where you can unlock new characters, a museum that shows off some artefacts that you find along your journey, and even the ‘Create a Character’, just like in LEGO Star Wars II!
More features of the previous LEGO games are here; LEGO studs are still at the heart of the game, with breakable scenary still around for you to destroy and harvest studs from. Also, the co-op gameplay from the previous games is here, letting you have Shorty or Willie by your side as you roam around the 18 chapters.

Free play mode also makes a come back, letting you access areas you couldn’t previously get to, using characters not used during the story. This means that you could have Short Round climbing through a small tunnel in Raiders Of The Lost Ark. It’s just like in LEGO Star Wars!
But there is some new features to LEGO Indy. Unlike the previous games, there are now vehicle levels! Yes, you can ride the minecart, drive the boats and even enjoy some stolen motorbikes. In fat, the missions in general are more varied than in LEGO Star Wars, with each having something memorable and enjoyable about them.
It is quite amazing at the amount of detail put into LEGO Indy, such as Indy still being afraid of snakes, and Willie being terrorfied of bugs. Getting close to their fears makes them shake in their boots, too scared to move closer! Detail has also been put into the scenery, with almost everything breakable!

It’s hard to put such an amazing and action packed game down. Sadly there are a few let downs. For a start, the camera views are stil rubbish! This problem occured in all the previous LEGO games, and STILL hasn’t been corrected! Also, some of the levels include puzzles that could potentially prove a bit difficult for the younger gamers. And then you realise there’s no online co-op…
Overall, LEGO Indiana Jones is a great game, taking all the good parts of LEGO Star Wars, and adding in it’s own, unique missions. The graphics are brilliant, along with the best gameplay I have seen for a LEGO game. But maybe it’s a little short-lived…

Patapon – Sony – Psp

Patapon isn’t part of one main genre; it is part platform, tactics, and most importantly, part rythm based. You play as the Patapon’s God; guiding the lost tribe to their goal – IT! But the evil Zigotons stand in your way! Each of the four buttons on the right acts as a different drum, and you must control an army using different beats. Sounds easy!
Well, it is easy once you’ve got the hang of it. Most levels are easily completed although some prove more difficult than others. These levels come around the middle of the game, and even I used an online walkthrough for them! One disapointment I found with the gameplay is that the final boss is rather… Easy; there is this big build up to him, where you think He’ll be amazingly hard, then you defeat him in the first battle!
And this isn’t the only disapointment. After you have completed the missions, you can only access the hunting areas and bosses, unless you start a new game. I was thinking that maybe after completeing the game, all missions would become replayable, but this is not the case. Not a really bad disapointment, because the bosses are briliant, but a disapointment still. Also, I’m not going to ruin the ending for all those who havent completed the game, but it is rather dull…

Just by looking at the graphics, you can tell that the makers must have had something to do with Loco Roco (if you’ve played Loco Roco you’ll understand what I mean). The graphics look very very similar, although I think the colours are sharper in Patapon.
Just like Loco Roco, Patapon has some catchy tunes. For days after playing this game, I was humming and Pata-ponning and chaka-donning everywhere!
When people ask me for tips on Patapon, I always say that you must anticipate what wil happen next. If you know you will be attacked by a wave of arrows or fire, move back before it happens. If you know that you can’t dodge the incomming attack, start protecting! Its simple! Another tip I give is to remember that an enemie’s attacks don’t always stay in the same beat, and that you may have to come out of fever to get protecting at the right time.
Below is a list of the different squads in Patapon, to help you decide which to use:
- Hatapon – This Patapon is the first one available to the game, and functions to hold the army together. Holds high the Patapon banner. His death results in mission failure. Hata (旗) means “flag” in Japanese.
- Yaripon – Spear-Throwing Patapon. This is the initial unit type given to the player to control, and is useful for both hunting and fighting. Their fever attack is a jumping spear throw that greatly increases the distance of the projectile while avoiding many enemy attacks. A Yaripon squad consists of 6 Yaripon. Yari (槍) means “spear” in Japanese.
- Tatepon – Axe-Wielding Patapon. These Patapon are equipped with axes and shields and are primarily melee fighters. They are useless while hunting, as their attack range is negligible at best and scares off prey. Tatepons are arguably the best defense Patapon units, as their shields can protect the entire army from projectile attack. While in fever mode, their shields increase in size and provide better protection. A Tatepon squad consists of 6 Tatepon. Tate (盾) means “shield” in Japanese.
- Yumipon – Archer Patapon. These Patapon have the largest attack range in the game and are always placed in back of any army. While they are extremely effective and can rain down arrows on enemies from afar, they are vulnerable to fire. While in fever mode, they shoot three arrows every attack instead of one. A Yumipon squad consists of 6 Yumipon. Yumi (弓) means “bow” in Japanese.
- Kibapon – Cavalry Patapon. Equipped with horses and halberds, Kibapons deal heavy damage and knock back enemy troops. While relatively useless normally, they become faster and push back enemies with great power when in fever mode. They should only be used by a skilled player. A Kibapon Squad consists of 3 Kibapon. Kiba (騎馬) means “horse-rider” in Japanese
- Dekapon – Mace-Wielding Patapon. These monstrous brutes are extremely large and bulky, and as a result do massive damage to their targets. Unfortunately, Dekapons are extremely slow, which tempers their awesome might. While in fever mode, Dekapon have a ground pound attack that stuns enemies. A Dekapon squad consists of 3 Dekapon. Dekai (でかい) means “gargantuan” in Japanese.
- Megapon – Horn Playing Patapon. Megapons are by far the oddest unit in the game. They are taller than most other Patapons, and carry around massive horns. To attack, they play their horns and the sound waves that are projected take on physical form, flying at the enemy and causing damage. Megapons have a variety of attacks, but the two most utilized are a standard wave of 3 blue notes that bounce off of and around the enemy, causing ricochet damage, and a massive red note only used during fever mode that hits multiple times causing massive damage. A Megapon squad consists of 3 Megapon. Their name may be based on ‘Megaphone’.
- Upgradeable Units – During the ‘birthing’ phase at the Tree of Life, players can use different combinations of ‘ka-ching’ and raw materials they gathered during individual hunting missions, mini-games, and other means. Higher quality or rare ingredients coupled with higher ‘ka-ching’ costs results in higher quality base units. An example would be pairing ‘succulent’ meat along with ‘cherry blossom’ instead of ‘standard’ meat and ‘wood branch’. This is not discussed, nor combinations given in the included game manual, but players can experiment for discovery.

Overall, Patapon is a good game, with some minor disapointments, but this is made up for with it’s mix of genres. Patapon’s graphics are great, with sharp colours and enthralling backgrounds. I think that with some alterations, this game could be the best for the PSP!

Silent Hill Origins – Konami – Psp

It’s hard to say that you ‘enjoy’ a Silent Hill game. Sure you can admire and appreciate Konami’s survival horror, but a game that’s relentlessly dark, grimey and has you shooting a mutated version of your mum has very few punch the air/ high five moments. But the fact that this PSP entry to the series is as bleak and unsettling as the previous game is testament to the amazing work Climax have done making it just as scary. With the headphones on, peering into the screen, your soon sucked into hellish proceedings.
The story is set before the events of the original Silent Hil, with trucker Travis Grady stumbling around the cursed town looking for a way out. It’s the same mix of slow combat, exploring and puzzle solving but each element is superbly put together and balanced to make it very compelling. The constant gloom and graphic horror may not suit everyone, but there is no denying that this is one of the best adventure games on the PSP. And it’ll reignite your desire for the Hill ahead of the fifth console game in the series.
RATING: 86%
Neatly tucks in all of Silent Hill’s qualities into one of the best PSP games of the year!

Scrabble Ds Cheats And Hints
Stupid Words – Sick of the computer shafting you with stupid two-letter words? Get your own back with your own stupid words! Here’s a list of the acceptable nonsense:
AA AB AD AE AG AH AI AL AM AN AR AS AT AW AX AY BA BE BI BO BY DE DO ED EF EH EL EM EN ER ES ET EX FA GO HA HE HI HM HO ID IF IN IS IT JO KA LA LI LO MA ME MI MM MO MU MY NA NE NO NU OD OE OF OH OM ON OP OR OS OW OX OYPA PE PI RE SH SI SO TA TI TO UH UM UN UP US UT WE OW XI XU YA YE YO
Now you have these words, make sure you place them in awkward places. Use them to make two words at once on the joints of two crossing words.
Anagram Game – If you want to unlock the two other minigames, you have to beat the world’s hardest anagram game. Our suggestion, and how we got through it, is to use an online anagram solver. It’s low, but when you see even the anagram solver strugling with some of the included words, you won’t mind as much.
If All Else Fails – Slap an S on the end! The computer has no real grasp with vowels; it thinks that every plural under the sun ends in this way. The end of the english language is the beginning of your scrabble career! Good Luck!

The Legend Of Zelda: The Lampshade Of No Real Significance – Super Flash Bros – Online
Zelda Lampshade is not an ordinary game. As the name kind of gives away, Zelda Lampshade is a spoof of The Legend Of Zelda.
Zelda lampshade is basically a simple point and click game, with a Zelda skin. The style and graphics look very similar to those of Windwaker and Phantom Hourglass. In fact, the developers have payed very close attention to what goes into a Zelda game, and have even added a section on tyhe sidebar of what items you have. There is even a dungeon (be it a small yet humourous one)!
The main focus of the game is to get the ‘sacred’ Lampshade to the temple, passing first through the lair of the giant sewer demon (by pulling it’s plug out) and then heading through a town, whilst meeting some very familiar Nintendo faces, including Kirby, Samus and a few more…
Being a free online game, Zelda Lampshade is really good. On top of being better than most point and click games, it actually looks and almost feels like a Zelda game! As well as being entertaining, it is also challenging at times too! For the moment, this is my favourite online game! Here is a link for those who want to play it now;
http://www.vivalagames.com/play/lampshade/
RATING: 79%
This is as funny as an online game gets, but with only about 20 minutes of gameplay, it isn’t going to be your favourite for long. At least you can play it more than once and still enjoy it!
